Sweet Brothers

Drew is starting to have a little more interest in Reid now. He still will only refer to him as Baby Brother or Baby Reid. He likes talking to him and holding his hand now and telling us what Reid thinks. He is also known to blame things on Reid occasionally...I'm sure this is only the beginning. Reid loves to watch Drew playing and will smile and laugh at him all day.

2010...already going too fast

Not sure why Drew was measuring Reid, but I couldn't resist snapping a picture. Both are so innocent...for now.
Reid sits with us every night when we eat dinner and looks at us like he wants to eat some too. We tried cereal for the 1st timethis week and he did pretty good. Didn't even make a face, he just kept crossing his eyes looking at the spoon.

What a sweet laugh this boy has.

Grandma and her boys.

Drew had to join in on the feeding fun. Bear was hungry.

Aidan's baby was hungry too.

Aidan had way more fun playing with Papa than Drew.

Eating the pizza they made.

Holidays 2009

I haven't posted anything in a long time because it has been so busy and we had to get a new computer on top of everything else going on. I uploaded pictures to Walgreens to order and just posted the link. It is a lot of pictures, but you can never have too many during the holidays!

We had a fun Thanksgiving with the Girsch/Thompson clan. Reid was a big hit with the girls! We celebrated Christmas early in Peoria. Reid got to spend time with his buddy Caleb. Lori and I of course had to pose them for their pictures, they will hate us some day! There are a lot of pictures from me trying to get that perfect pose for the Christmas card, Drew wasn't being cooperative, but did provide me with some cute pictures. We ended the travels with a trip to Waterloo to celebrate with the Thompson family. Drew had more fun than he could imagine with his cousins. He also was pretty excited about Santa, his response to every present he opened was, "my present." Santa did a pretty good job this year, Drew has been having a lot of fun with all of his loot. Reid had fun just watching all of the chaos. He is getting very vocal and loves to smile and laugh.

During all of the holiday travels, Reid had his 4 month check up. He weighed in at 15 lbs. 5 oz. and 24 1/4" long. He is a little more proportioned than Drew was 50th percentile for weight and 25th for length. He is a very healthy happy boy!

We had such a wonderful holiday and feel so blessed to have gotten to spend time with our family and friends. We hope everyone else had as nice of a holiday as we did.

Catching up again!

Our favorite Hawkeye. He has the sweetest smile.
Drew finished his last swimming class this week. He LOVED it and was doing a really good job. He would get so excited every Wednesday that "swimming classs" was all he talked about.

They looked so cute last Sunday before church, I tried to have a quick photo shoot. Drew wasn't really into it. He still loves his brother a lot but he has to be in the mood to love him. Everything in our life happens on Drew's time.

Drew and Aidan have so much fun in the bath now. I got the pictures in the wrong order, but Drew was pouring water on Aidan and she thought it was hilarious. Aidan would try to pour it on Drew, but it would end up on her somehow. She is a trooper!
Halloween 2009
The boys didn't mind getting dressed up for Halloween. We started out at the Segal's for dinner and then we took Aidan and Drew trick or treating. We didn't last long it was cold and raining. We came back to our neighborhood and went to the neighbors. Our one neighbor loves Drew so much she gave him an entire bag of candy and another had a special treat for him. He is very loved by the neighbors. Drew is still obsessed with trick or treating he tells us a story about it multiple times a day. It goes something like this, "Knock on door (as he is knocking in the air), trick or treat."

Pumpkin carving wasn't as fun as Ashley and I had in our minds. The kids didn't like sticking their hands in the pumpkins very much. Ashley and Mark had to finish up while the kids played.

Drew was more interested in picking up his pumpkin and carrying it around.

Drew loves watching the Hawks with Mark. Reid even likes to lay on the floor and stare at the TV when football is on.

Reid didn't want to let Drew's hand go, he was having a great time sucking on it.

Reid's Baptism and the Pumpkin Patch

What a busy weekend. Our family came to spend the weekend with us and we had Reid baptized on Sunday then off to the pumpkin patch with the Segal's.

Reid wore is Uncle Matt and Daddy's baptism outfit. If we would have waited any longer he would have never fit.

Grandma and her boys.

Reid and his new bath Grandma got him...he LOVES it.

I walked in the room and Drew said, "holding baby brother's hand."
