Choo Choo Tracks

When we take Drew to daycare we go over two sets of train tracks. He gets very excited about it and a lot of times it is how we have to bribe him to get his shoes on his feet or get in his car seat. When he is in his Daddy's truck they play this little game as they go over the tracks. Grandma and Grandpa Thompson and I got to witness it and couldn't stop laughing. For some reason he gets excited about the tracks in Mommy's car, but it sure isn't this much fun!

Drew dancing!

Drew loves to watch America's Got Talent. One of the acts was a group of girls tap dancing and he was imitating their dancing. Of course, by the time I got the camera out he was wearing down and when he sees the camera he wants to look at the screen to see himself so he stopped.

Iowa State Fair

We took Drew to the Fair today. We thought he would love it because he would get to see some of his favorite things animals and tractors. He was more excited about the garbage trucks and helicopter flying around. We thought maybe I would walk eat this baby out today, but I feel better than I did before we went.

Not sure who enjoyed the big tractor more, Mark or Drew!

We have been enjoying the last couple weekends at home getting ready for the baby. I will be 38 weeks on Monday, only a couple weeks left.

Mark and Drew sharing Sunday pizza at Drew's table.

Drew is starting to have a lot of fun with all of the new baby stuff around the house. He made a boat out of the car seat bases and his pillows and blankets.

Drew loves salsa. He will eat it by the chip full.

Drew and Daddy on the train at the Farmer's Market.

Drew and Mark share a pop tart every morning before work. Drew will eat pretty much anything that comes out of the toaster as long as he gets to see it pop up.

Balloon Festival

We took Drew to a Balloon Festival last weekend. He loved it so much that now we watch videos of balloons on YouTube almost every night.

This is the look that Drew gave me after he told me that "Daddy so funny."
Drew was giving us directions to the Balloon Festival. He is a great map reader.

Waving bye-bye to the balloons.

He didn't budge when the balloons were taking off.

Drew loves getting kisses from Sammy!

Drew and Thatcher were dressed exactly alike. Drew was showing everyone in the crowd the airplane in the sky.

Drew and Sammy dancing to the band.

Getting ready to go into the festival. I can't imagine how much more stuff we will have to take with us when the baby is here!

We made a couple changes in Drew's room before the baby gets here. We decided not to take him out of the crib so all he got was some new bedding, a couple pictures and unfortunately a different chair (he really loved his rocking chair). When he is ready for a big boy bed we will paint and make some permanent changes.

While Mark was hanging Drew's pictures, Drew had to get his tools out to play. Not sure what he was trying with the pliers??

Drew loves pizza so much he couldn't put it down when he was ready for a nap.

Drew and Aidan had a little date. They shared a snack with Elmo!

DREW'S 1st SHOWER
Drew loves to take a shower with Mark on the weekends. One day he insisted on getting in the shower on his own. He did a great job. Now that I can barely lean over the tub, this has been a wonderful alternative if Mark isn't around for bathtime!
