Drew is definitely keeping us busy these days. I will be 24 weeks along on Sunday and feeling really good. Drew loves to play outside and will say it over and over till we let him go or will try to sneak out while we are grilling and have the slider unlocked. (WE WILL HAVE THE YARD FENCED IN SOON...FOR MY OWN SANITY.) As all little boys do, Drew is in love with Thomas the train, tractors, buses and cars. Anything with four wheels is one of the above. It makes car rides so much fun to hear him chattering in the back seat. He seems so amazed each time another vehicle drives by, "Mommy look at that its a carz." He also loves to read...we know who he doesn't get that from! He takes a book to bed with him every night as you will see in a picture below. We are enjoying every minute with Drew, he is getting very independent and his own personality is really starting to show. I will try to take a picture of the belly and post ultrasound pictures to show the progress of baby #2 very soon.

Grandma and Grandpa Thompson took care of all 3 of the youngest Thompson grandkids last weekend. I'm sure they were pretty exhausted after running after these two.
Drew and Ella holding hands.
Ella is such a good cousin!
She did tell me through that Drew is crazy!

Even though Drew can be very wild and crazy he loves to sit behind Mark's chair and play with his books or cars. This first time I found him here I was frantic because he was so quiet and I couldn't find him.

Drew's new best friend, Uncle Chris.

I got Drew a ball at the store the other day and he wouldn't let it go, even in his carseat.

Drew loves his sunglasses, but he is very serious when he wears them.

Drew and Uncle Chris, pretend sleeping.

The following two pictures are the way we find Drew when we go to check on him at night. He loves to take books to bed and we can hear him in his bed after we shut the door reading to himself, but sometimes he just must get too tired and drop the book.

He was even snoring this night!

Grandma Gall found him this time. I love the arms behind the head.

We did not put him in this outfit, he insisted on me taking off his
footie pajamas and put on the socks.
Once Drew puts on his sunglasses he will not take them off.

Drew took his booster seat over to Mark's recliner and had him strap him in
so he could read his books in the chair.

Drew had an Easter egg hunt with Grace and Aidan. He had a lot of fun, but kept stealing the eggs from the girls.

The Easter Bunny brought Drew some outdoor toys and sunglasses. The sunglasses were a big hit! We had to take the golf clubs and t-ball set outside because he was tormenting the cat.

DYING EASTER EGGS

Drew just couldn't wait to eat one of the eggs!

Just helping Daddy with my own hammer.

Drew loves to sit on the potty before bath time. He also insists on wiping,
but when he does he lifts his leg as high as possible.

This was Mark's outfit when he was a little kid.

This is Drew's "silly face."

I'm in trouble...already drinking out of the milk carton.

Drew and Grace at Grace's 1st Birthday party.
BUSTED!
Drew is very resourceful. He wanted the drill so he pushed a toy from the
living room to the kitchen to get it.
Once again, he wanted something so he empytied out the bottom drawer to stand in the top drawer, just trying to help get ready for dinner.

Catching up!

It has been awhile since I have posted anything, there is a lot to catch up on. Work has been busy for me and the weekends haven't been much better. Everyone knows by now that we are expecting #2, but I finally just posting the picture we used to tell everyone. I am feeling great, almost 18 weeks along and growing everyday.

Drew has been making us laugh more and more each day. He went for his 18month check up a couple weeks ago, 27 lbs and 30 inches. He has a little growing to do for height...but not weight! He is as always very active, always getting into something and always chattering. He has his own language, but adds in some words we can understand every once in awhile. He LOVES sports! I was out of town the 1st week of the NCAA basketball tournament, so Mark and Drew watched a lot of basketball and he loved it. In fact Mark couldn't get Drew to move out of his recliner one night. Today he was really enjoying golf with lots of oohs, ahhs and clapping. He was even practicing his golf swing with the remote. I can see the gears in Mark's head turning already, deciding what sport Drew will be playing when he is older.

Drew and Rylee playing Nintendo DS...he loves it!

Drew likes his power tools!

He had a few wiskers he thought he should take care of.

Just a little strange, he likes to suction his own nose out.

Still obsessed with shoes!

When we went back to Peoria Papa Gall had a new little buddy. He couldn't eat any meal without Drew having to sit on his lap.

Drew fell and got his 1st black eye.

I guess his ear hurt from the fall also. We never got the cold pack near his eye.

Drew loves the potty! He tried to get on Grandma and Papa Gall's, but got stuck. He was screaming "I STUCK" when I took the picture.

Just hanging out with the Howard girls in Peoria.

Drake had lots of fun toys for Drew to play with. They had so much fun together.

Drake read Drew a story while Drew ate his lunch.

I guess I have made him wear one too many holiday headband, because now he chooses to wear mine.

We had one last playdate with our old neighbors before they moved to Tennessee. Drew had a lot of fun, but wasn't a big fan of the train.

Drew loves to walk on the treadmill he is up to .5mph.

Drew and Wrigley have become pretty good friends. Wrigley bats him in the head and Drew laughs and goes back for more.
